Tutorial, part 7a - Overalls Extension

Serge the bottoms of each overalls front attachment (piece I) and overalls back attachment (piece J).

Sew the overalls back attachment (piece J) to the overalls suspender (piece K) with the wide edge of suspender flush with the open edge of the back diamond and right sides together.

Fold the overalls suspender upward and press seam allowances open.

Trim away those pesky little triangularly-protruding seam allowances.

Repeat for the other three back overalls extensions.

Sew the overalls back attachment to the overalls front attachment (piece I) at the sides.

Press seam allowances open.

Repeat for the other three overalls assemblies.

Sew the right overalls attachment to the left overalls attachment at the lower center back, with lower and center back edges flush and right sides together, stitching from the bottom edge to the dot on the printed pattern (1 ⅜" from bottom).

Press seam allowances open.

Repeat for the other overalls attachment assembly. (One will be the overalls facing.)

Sew one of the overalls assemblies to the trousers, matching center fronts, side seam lines, and center back seam lines.

Press seam allowances upward.
