Tutorial, part 4 - Front to Back

NOTE: On our men's trousers pattern, we have included 1" seam allowances on the side seams for fitting purposes. This will allow for plenty of adjustment on behalf of the wearer due to any of a number of factors, including but not limited to disproportionately large waist, hips/seat, or legs. We highly recommend constructing a muslin test fitting, making any adjustments necessary, then clipping the side seam allowances down to the standard ⅜", unless you wish to leave the garment as-is to allow for future adjustment.

Sew the front assembly to the back assembly along the sides, right sides together.

Press seam allowances open.

TIP: We recommend again using a tailor's ham to press open the upper portion of the side seams.
